Skylight Vintage, Etc. is a nonprofit resale shop in Evanston, stocked with furniture, clothing, and home decor worth a second look. Every sale, and every donation, helps fund therapy for people who could not otherwise afford it.

What we're looking for
Good things, ready for a second home.
Our shelves turn over fast because shoppers trust what they will find here. We look for pieces in clean, working, ready to sell condition, the kind of thing you would be glad to give as a gift.
Clothing & Accessories
Clean, current, in season pieces. Coats, dresses, suits, shoes, bags, belts, and jewelry all do well, and well made or designer pieces move especially fast.
Furniture
Sofas, dressers, dining sets, desks, and small tables in solid, stable condition. Wood pieces should be free of water damage or breaks.
Home Decor & Housewares
Lamps, mirrors, art, rugs, kitchenware, and small appliances that still work. Vintage and antique pieces are always welcome.
How to Donate
Bring it in, or let us come to you.
Donating takes one drop off or one phone call. Here is what to expect, and what helps us get your items onto the floor quickly.
Clothing and accessories should be clean, gently used, and free of stains, tears, or strong odors.
Furniture should be sturdy and structurally sound. If it wobbles, is missing hardware, or has water damage, please hold onto it.
Lamps, electronics, and small appliances should be in working order.
We are not able to accept mattresses, cribs, car seats, or items under safety recall.
Large furniture or multi item donations can usually be scheduled for pickup rather than a drop off.
Skylight Vintage, Etc. operates under the Skylight Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, so your donation may be tax deductible. Ask for a receipt when you drop off, and check with your tax advisor about your own situation.

The Skylight Foundation believes quality mental health care should not depend on what a person can afford. Skylight Vintage, Etc. provides roughly ninety percent of the funding behind that promise, one sale at a time.
